The House Chiefs of Staff Alumni Association (HCOSAA) is a nonpartisan, professional association composed of former Administrative Assistants and Chiefs of Staff of Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. While the HCOSAA is composed exclusively of former House AA’s and Chiefs of Staff, its mission is to offer professional development and networking opportunities for both current and former top staffers to House Members.

The purposes of the association shall be:

  • To identify former U.S. House of Representatives chiefs of staff and solicit their membership in the association;
  • To provide a program of social activities for entertainment and comradery;
  • To provide education to the members through programs and speakers;
  • To promote the communication of ideas;
  • To broaden the members’ understanding of other groups operating in and around the U.S. Congress;
  • To provide education to nonmembers on the role of chiefs of staff and other matters involving the U.S. Congress; and
  • To promote opportunities for members to interact or exchange ideas with the staffs of other national legislative bodies.
